Children are Born Persons
Every child is created in the image of God. At our cottage school and co-op, this conviction shapes all of life and learning. We honor children as whole persons with minds made for truth, hearts formed for goodness, and imaginations awakened by beauty.
Rooted in the Charlotte Mason classical tradition, we understand education as a living web of relationships: between child and teacher, child and peers, child and ideas, and ultimately, child and God. Within a community marked by attention, respect, and love, learning unfolds through living books, meaningful conversation, narration, and wonder. In these relationships, children are invited to encounter what is true, good, and beautiful, leading to growth of character, wisdom, and responsibility. Welcome to Living Oaks!
Choose Your Learning Community
Living Oaks Cottage School is a two-day-a-week, drop-off learning community for students in grades K–12. Teachers guide students on campus, while parents lead learning at home on remaining days, with optional support from Living Oaks.
Living Oaks Cooperative is a parent-led enrichment community that meets every other week. For over eleven years, students and mothers have gathered to encounter truth, goodness, and beauty through Scripture, hymns, Shakespeare, art, handicrafts, worldview, and apologetics.
